I love those little hidden spaces that you come upon suddenly. They're so easy to miss, these spots. They abound in old cities like Boston, or New Orleans, or Rome. I find the ones with greenery at the end the most intriguing. Quiet little spots of peace just off the beaten path. Built to refresh and restore. Secret places out in plain view. Hidden, yet revealed. Accessible, yet restricted. So tantalizing.
